Jarrod Sandel has been the VP of Membership for HDI Motown since September 2018. He works as the manager of Service Analysis & Improvement for the department of Health Information Technology & Services at Michigan Medicine. He has been involved in HDI for several years, and has presented both at previous chapter meetings and national conferences. Jarrod holds a Bachelor of History degree from the University of Michigan, as well as a Master of Business Administration from Eastern Michigan University. He lives in Chelsea, Michigan with his wife and two sons.
Kristi Lawrence has been the VP of Communication for HDI Motown since November 2015, and involved in HDI for many years previously. Additionally, she assists with HDI at a national level serving on the Communications committee. For her day job, she currently works as the Director of the IT Service Desks for Kelly Services utilizing IT Service Management practices, the ITIL framework and the best practices learned from being involved in HDI. Kristi holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Northwood University. She lives in Chesterfield Twp, Michigan with her husband and three daughters.
Dan Conlin has been HDI Motown’s President since 2017. In preparation for that he contributed as VP of Training and Development and later VP of Sponsorships. He works as the Director of Field Services for the State of Michigan, Department of Technology Management and Budget. In that capacity, his team of 100 technicians perform desk side assistance for the 60,000 machines used by state employees. Dan holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan, with a major in Communications. He lives in Ann Arbor with his wife. Together they enjoy being empty nesters, but recall fondly the chaos of six children.
Thom Golden has been HDI Motown’s VP of Finance since 2017. Prior to that he enjoyed helping the Motown board as VP of Communications/Webmaster and participated as a chapter member since 2007. Thom is a Technical Support Manager for Fiserv, managing a team of dedicated folks who support over 100 financial institutions across the US. Thom holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Phoenix. He enjoys international travel, classic cars, and his best canine friend, a six pound Chorkie named Leo.
20 years of experience in IT leadership, most of which have been spent leading Service Desks in the retail, banking and automotive fields. Guy holds the following certifications: HDI Help Desk Manager, ITIL Foundations V3, STI Field Support Technician and STI Knowledge Management. He is currently leading the IT Service Desk at Volkswagen Group of America.
